Freedom isn’t found in our circumstances. It’s found in a relationship with Jesus.
Welcome to Freedom Within, where freedom isn’t an event but a lifestyle because of who lives within us, Jesus Christ.
Freedom Within was birthed when Melody became incarcerated in 2008 due to the consequences of addiction.
A message came to Melody when she noticed a Life Recovery Bible lying next to her in her cellmate’s bunk: “Melody, you can keep running from Jesus or you can run to Him.” She knew she had a decision to make, so she asked her cellmate if she could borrow her Bible. She opened the Word of God and said this prayer to Him:
Here I am, Jesus. Have Your way with me. Do with me whatever You need to do. Teach me who You are and who I am, in You.
He honored her prayer as they began walking together in His Word.
Being a disciple of God is someone who is simply learning from Him and willing to follow Him.
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’”
John 8:31-32 NKJVFreedom Within offers three practical disciplines that help grow our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Meeting with Him in His Word every day.
Applying His Word to our daily lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Trusting Him without compromise.
As we come to know who Jesus Christ is and who we are in Him, we will begin to live free within ourselves and live the overcoming life no matter what we face because of who is growing within us.
The whole story, told honestly: the abuse and addiction that held me, and the salvation that set me free. Woven through with Scripture and 33 devotions born from real life.
